FS2004 Douglas SBD-3 "Dauntless"
This plane was in the right place at the right time and thus, played a huge role in winning the Battle of Midway, viewed by many as the turning point of the war in the Pacific. This FSDSv3 model has the usual moving parts plus a animated tailhook, folding wings, perforated flaps and dive brakes, Nav lights and Landing lights. It comes with two liveries; a pre-war paint for the Squadron Commander of U. S. Marine Corps VMB-2 circa 1940 and a two tone blue paint of the Midway era. I have included the catapult and arrestor gear gauge from rcbco-20 for carrier operations. You must have installed rcbco-20.zip (from any of the major sites) for them to work. If you don't want them, just go to the panel .cfg file and put a // infront of them. The wings fold and the tail hook operates but you might have to assign a control function for them if you haven't already done so. I use shift+F for the wings and shift+T for the tailhook. The lights turn on and off with the "L" key and the dive brakes are operated with the "/" key.
I would like to give many thanks to Steve Downing for creating the 2D panel for this project.

INSTALLATION: Unzip SBD3.zip into a temporary folder. Copy the file Douglas SBD-3 into the Aircraft folder of FS2004. Open the gauges file and copy the contents into the Gauges folder of FS2004. Note: You probably have these gauges so you can choose whether to overwrite or not. Close everything and fire up FS2004. This plane will show in the Aircraft Selection list as the SBD-3 under manufacturer Douglas.
